• Studio, 25–35 m²: 12,000–18,000 THB/month mid-market

What the separate bedroom buys

• Aircon only in the bedroom at night — a cooler bill than chilling an entire studio (why this matters)

• Guests or a child fit on the living-room sofa

When a studio is enough

Solo travellers; couples with identical schedules; anyone home only to sleep. A good studio in a beachfront complex often beats a distant one-bedroom — location outranks square metres on holiday.
