Andamanda Phuket in Kathu is a large themed park with slides, a lazy river and a wave pool, styled on Thai legends. Blue Tree in the north near Cherng Talay (by Bang Tao) is more of a lagoon with an artificial beach, a smaller water park and a wakeboard zone.
Choose Andamanda for proper slides and a full day; Blue Tree to combine swimming with food and loungers, especially if you stay in Bang Tao. Tickets are much cheaper bought online in advance.
Tips
- •Buy tickets online — the gate price is higher
- •Arrive at opening: top slides have 20-minute queues by noon
- •You usually can't bring your own food, but on-site prices aren't outrageous
