Karon Viewpoint on the road between Kata and Nai Harn shows three bays at once — Kata Noi, Kata and Karon. Best light is morning and the hour before sunset. The Yanui windmill viewpoint between Nai Harn and Rawai overlooks Yanui beach, Ko Kaeo island and Promthep Cape, with far fewer people than Promthep itself.
Radar Hill above Kathu gives an east-coast panorama almost tourist-free, and Khao Rang in Town is a local favourite with a cafe and city views.
